Chapter News

Friends,

Hello, we hope to find you all well!

Before we get into a few announcements, we’d like to give a great big “THANK YOU” to everyone that made Z-Day possible.  To the individuals that pulled a great day together; thanks again for all that you do!

Secondly, we’d like to thank anyone that attended Z-Day and for your interest in the Zeitgeist movement!  We hope your experience throughout the day was engaging, informative and enjoyable, but we’re also curious to get your feedback.  If you’d like to send us any of your thoughts/comments/criticisms/compliments, please reply to this email.  We’d love to hear from you!

Next, we invite you to attend a follow-up gathering set for this Sunday, April 14th, at noon at the Phoenix Cafe (24918 John R in Hazel Park, the same venue used for Z-Day).  We’ll have open discussion about the Zeitgeist movement, where we’re at and what we can do to help the movement strengthen and grow.  We will offer food on a potluck basis so if you feel inclined; by all means bring a dish to share!

Last but not least; the first festival that we will be exhibiting at this year is the Rochester Earth Day Festival April 26th, 27th & 28th, please see the attached invitation for details.  We can always use extra volunteers to help staff the booth.  This is typically a very busy show and the more volunteers we have the more we can engage the visitors.  This is also a very entertaining and educational event, so even if you’re not willing to help with booth duty please make an attempt to stop in with friends and family and check it out! The next chapter meeting will be Sunday, May 5th at the Phoenix Café, please note that the time of the monthly public meeting is changing to 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM.

Please bookmark our website, www.zeitmi.com for Zeitgeist Michigan, which has links to the southeast Michigan chapter, our facebook page, and other sites related to the movement.

Thank you again for your interest in the movement and we hope to see you this Sunday, noon at Phoenix Cafe!

  • Why are the SE MI chapter meetings in Detroit area? Is that where all the Michigan chapters meet?

May I please recommend adding a “contact” link on the SE MI chapter page. I cannot see anyway to contact the chapter besides these posts or social media.

I am located in Niles, MI. I would like to start a local chapter. I would like to be registered on the Michigan state chapter website to be able to connect with incoming requests and interested visitors from my local area or at least in my town.

    • Why are the SE MI chapter meetings in Detroit area? Everybody in the SEMI chapter agreed that this will be the best location for all of us to meet at.

Is that where all the Michigan chapters meet? No, all chapters meet at the place where the coordinators in that area set up for anybody to meet at.

“May I please recommend adding a “contact” link on the SE MI chapter page. I cannot see anyway to contact the chapter besides these posts or social media”. – Sorry when i was updating the website i forgot to put it back up. Thanks for the feedback!

“I am located in Niles, MI. I would like to start a local chapter.” Once again sorry they change the link to the chapters guide. Here is the new one http://www.tzmchapters.net/guide/chapters-guide, and for future reference it will be on the zeitmi.com page as the plus icon. I will fix it to say add chapter instead of when you hover it says it.

“I would like to be registered on the Michigan state chapter website to be able to connect with incoming requests and interested visitors from my local area or at least in my town.” After you go through the chapter guide. Click the mail icon on the zeitmi.com or the contact tab on the semi.zeitmi.com page and submit at least your (location, webpage, or social network page). zeitmi.com will be updated as soon as possible

  • I just realized my error and the reason why I was confused about the location of the meetings. I meant to contact the SW MI chapter. Apparently I mixed up west and east. I feel very dumb now but I guess everyone has their moments. 11 days ago I visited the website for the SW chapter and posted a message on their forum. When I mistakenly came to the SE MI website on the 25th, I thought that it was a new website but obviously I was just in the wrong place. I returned to the SW MI site today and I have not seen any response to my message on the forum and it appears there are others that came before me who have also had no response that I can see. I visited the Michigan state chapter website to inform them but the email contact button at the top right did not appear to be working. I do realize that everyone is volunteering their time and that it may just be that the coordinator has not been able to respond yet but I did want to make someone aware of the situation in case these visitors are not getting responses.

  • Thank you for all your feedback. i believe i fix the problem.

  • SW MI still has not responded to me. I am still unable to get the email button on the Michigan State chapter site to work too.

    • Using Windows 7 64 bit and Google Chrome

      • I’m sorry I’ll been very busy lately. The email button on the MI chapter’s page brings up your default email program. Most likely it would be Outlook that open up. SEMI email is zeitmi@gmail.com (this goes straight to SEMI Chapter coordinator Sean). Is this your email d*******@sbcglobal.net? I receive 6 emails from a person from this address. Let me explain how I’m doing this. Once you add your email to the list. (There is conformation letter to the person who send the email. I think this is where you getting confused at) I add it to a list with all the latest email and send it to the coordinators every Monday. The newsletter normally comes at the middle/end of the month or when we have an upcoming event. …Your computer is fine 🙂

        • That is not my email. my default email program is a gmail application. I do not have outlook on my system. When I click on the Michigan state website email button nothing opens at all. My email is LawtonDIckens@Gmail.com
